Funnily enough I was just talking about dog food the other day.
There's been a lot of emphasis on moving away from factory farming, and TV programmes condemning the fast food, intensively farmed, junk we all consume and why we should be buying free range chickens and organically reared beef. Yet my husband pointed out that while we might be perusing the labels in the supermarket, looking for the RSPCA's "Freedom Foods" logo, we are not doing the same for our pets. They're still getting the same old canned shit. "Do you think the chickens that go into cat food are free range?" asked my husband. He's quite right of course and it's interesting to see a related subject like this appearing elsewhere.
Wow I never would have thought something we trust can kill our babies. see I havent had a dog for 10 years now and I can hardly remember how we fed our baby,But I think we give him scraps from the table more than dog food that you buy. I know scraps arent the answer either but at the time we it was ok and our baby lived 18 years.
Not sure what to think either.I know dogs that have lived long healthy lives on certain dog foods...so I dunno,Walker. I'm still pouting in my beer, cuz the guy I thought was so awesome turned out to be...well,let's just say...not so friggin' awesome. Yes,I'm being selfish and self centered.Self...self...self...LOL
Something has gone wrong with my computer so I cant watch any clips atm. However, I do have friends who buy organic for their pets and also give them organic vitamin supplements. It makes sense to care for someone you love, no matter what their species.
I don't have the time to watch the whole thing so let's cut to the chase. What is it advertising? The reason I ask is because we have been buying our dogfood through the mail. It was called TLC Pet Food. It was really expensive ($46 for 40 pounds) but the dogs really love it and the waste was signficantly less than any other dog food we have tried (meaning less poop). Well, we hadn't received any in awhile so we called to ask why and they said that they changed the formula of the food and now they are having problems with customs. I'm sad...my dogs are sad. I just wonder what the next alternative will be.
Scary stuff Walker and thankyou for bringing it to our attention. Aside from my kids there is nothing more precious to me than my fur babies and I would hate to think that something I was giving them was slowly killing them.
Is Andrew Lewis an Aussie? He had a very familiar accent even though he lives in Florida.
