BRRRRRRRR!!!! ©

I AM FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got 60 cm of snow on the weekend thats about 25 inches i think and then the temp dropped to under –25c.
If that wasn’t enough I woke up this morning still and hard as a rock.
No I wasn’t horny, ok maybe I was that a little to BUT I was stiffer because I was frozen stiff.
Sometime during the night my furnace went and when I looked at the thermostat it said 7.7c and it’s still that way and dropping faster than my pants at an orgy.

I have been trying to find things to do and keep warm while I wait here for the furnace people to show up.
The furnace is only three years old and still under warranty.

My youngest daughter was here on the weekend and found herself with a shovel and joined the battle to clear the seemingly endless supply of snow that was coming down on us.
No sooner that we cleared it we had to restart again and to make matters worse, freezing rain was on its way to join in on the assault.

We started throwing the snow away at 10 am and with four people and both snow blowers going we managed to get it done by 6 pm only to wake up in the morning to find more.
The following pictures are of the snow for only the one day and there was hardly any snow up until this storm rolled in.

I have been getting the house ready for the poker game on Christmas eve as well.
It looks like there will be eight people playing and I have two legs of lamb, five pounds of marinated chicken breast and another five pounds of jumbo shrimp along with some other food like spanakopites and dolmathes for snacks.

At least I don't have to worry about a beer fridge since mother nature has supplied the cooler.

HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!

Ok that's it, i got to go crawl under the blankets until they come to fix the furnace before I break off a finger or two from typing.

Have a nice WARM day.

Oh, for those that asked, yes the joint was lit when I swallowed it and right about now I think I could swallow a camp fire just to keep warm.

Man, I'm cold just thinking about it. I know what you are talking about though. I've lived in North Dakota and Alaska...I think I prefer Texas!

Should I be really mean and tell you that its a hot 30C here today. Not sure what that is in fahrenheit but I'm about to dive in the pool for a refreshing swim. No I won't tell you that, that's just unkind. Sorry Walker.....

What you need is someone to keep you warm. When you're that cold body heat is the only solution. I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding volunteers!!!

Whoa - I sure hope they got your furnace fixed. The pictures are pretty though. :)

Bwahahahaah - that picture with the bottles is hysterical. I lived on the east coast for a few years and had a freezer that never really worked and I would keep my ice cream out in a snow drift.

I'm sorry you woke up freezing... I. HATE.BEING.COLD.

Very funny post.

Oh! How I hate it when the power goes out in the winter. Been lucky so far. It was down to -14F after that storm hit us here and left us about 2 feet of snow on top of the ice that was left from the hail storm before the snow started. Snowing outside right now, but don`t think it will be bad this time. Hope they fixed your furnace real fast. Too cold this time of year.
One of my son`s asked me why I don`t remove my Ben Franklin stove in the living room as it would give me more room. But, if I removed it then what would keep me warm if the power goes out? So, I keep it just in case.Did use it for a couple hours last month when the breaker blew on the next road leaving me without power to run my furnace.
