Yesterday To Today For Tomorrow ©

Look who lied and is posting again for the weekend.
I received an email from a friend asking me to forward it along to those in my list which I decided not to and instead will post it here for you all to read and to take from here and pass on or link to this post if you wish.
It was sent to her as a reminder of how one of their family had endured loosing half his family during WWII as many other people throughout the world did because that’s what happens when ignorance and prejudice prevails over logic and compassion for your fellow man.

As the centuries pass we seem doomed to repeat the wrongs we bestow on others for the same reasons.
I look at the world today and it baffles me how people can’t understand what is happening around us and why.
Countries in the west clash with countries from the east because they refuse to accept each other for who and what they are.
Like children fighting with their parents about the old way of thinking because they want what is new and right for the times.

We in the west believe what we have is the best way to live because they are new and innovative for the times and we are almost right, we are wrong as well because if you look at us from the ground level we are suffering from what we have created.

The east sees the old ways as the only true way to live because it has worked that way for thousands of years and they are almost right but they are also wrong because as time moves on so must our thinking to survive or extinction is, will soon become a reality.

World leadership has failed to see this as the real problem and everyone is trying to reform how people think instead and when they don’t listen to us, we kill them.

In reality we have become no more than gangsters by taking a page out of the Mafia handbook by destroying the old ways as Lucky did in the thirties when he and his friends killed all the old bosses because they didn’t like the old ways but in their defence they would have been killed because the old bosses didn’t like the new ways.

This is the problem, the new wants to get away from the old and the old wants to hold onto the status quote, thus causing conflict.
What no one has sat down to do is look at the new and old ways and put the best of both together and create something more perfect and better for all to live with but no.
We have to hurt people instead and the worse part is that we elect people to do our thinking and acting for us even if we don’t agree with what they do but we are all looked upon as the ones to blame.
Maybe we are for letting these people hurt people in our name.
This is the same on both sides.

If we all sat down to quietly read and learned about the past, maybe some hardheaded assholes would realize that the people we are trying to kill out in the east are our parents.
They are descendants of all of ours and we, if the other assholes on the other side would look carefully enough would notice we're their children.
How many of you would want to kill your kids or parents?
That’s what is happening here.
Look at us; we are a mixture of the world.
One big melting pot, the evolution of mankind and they are trying to destroy us because they don’t like the new look of the world.
We are getting along together in peace and they think that is wrong, we should hate each other instead but we don’t we accept each other no matter what faith or colour we are.
But we are also guilty, we are trying to kill off and erase the past as if we are embarrassed of what happened in history.
History is our legacy and book of learning.
It is the formula of our existence and the trials and errors we had to go through to get to where we are today.
It’s not a pretty sight but it could be worse, the reasons it’s not is because we have learned from some of the lessons we learned in the past.

One of which was WWII.
That war doesn’t tell us how cruel humans could be because we have displayed cruelty through the annals of time that were worse, what it did was to show EVERYONE how cruel we could be.
It shows how easily we could be made to believe lies and to condone acts so hideous, it still haunts those tormented and tormentors alike.

I read a lot of history and sometime I am ashamed to being a human for what we have done to ourselves as a species.
We listen to a handful of people and condemn innocent people to extinction and then try to sweep it under the carpet so no one will know because we know, it was a bad thing to do but you can’t stomp out the truth or disguise it.
The truth always come back to haunt you.

Many now question that the holocaust ever happening and the numbers of people murdered as being fiction.
I can understand how some people could question that because of the scope of the attrocety.
How could anyone possibly fathom murdering so many people.
It would take a extremly homicidal maniac to do something like this, yet it's true and pretending it never happened will not change the truth.

I hope one day the old and the new will awaken and see the true meaning of life and open their eyes and minds to see the light before it’s to late and darkness covers this beautiful blue planet for ever.
Let history be your teacher and your conscience.

The following is the email I received, I didn't link the sender because I didn't know if she would mind but I will acknoledge her if she allows me.

Have a nice weekend

Walker

60 years

It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended.
This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated with the German and Russian peoples looking the other way!
Now, more than ever, with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust to be "a myth," it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets, because the Islamo-Facists want to do it again.
This e-mail is intended to reach 40 million people worldwide!
Join us and be a link in the memorial chain and help us distribute it around the world.

Those are mind boggling statistics and it is difficult to fathom that many people being murdered. The Holocaust was indeed a blight on the history of mankind. Such cruelty is incomprehensible and the horrors that those casualties endured are impossible to imagine.

I picture families being ripped away from each other to be put to death. Can you imagine a parent having their child torn from their arms knowing what their certain fate would be. It makes my heart break to think of it.

Great post Walker. We should never forget the past lest it become our future.

So very sad what has happened in the past and still today. I could say more, but will just say "peace".

I often wonder what they are omitting in school today as there has been more wars and so much more history made since I was in school and they still only need the same number of school years to teach it all in.
Do Governments ever learn from past mistakes? What was learned from the Vietnam war? I feel nothing or would we be now in Iraq in another war? I know a lot will disagree with me, but I still don`t like the made up reasons for starting this war in the beginning. What has changed in all the years? What are we leaving for our kids to clean up?
We can`t afford to forget the past, and we need to start learning not to repeat the same mistakes. First time may be a mistake, but isn`t repeating it on purpose.
