To Hot To Handle ©

It’s a busy day today and I have a lot to say but I am kinda incapacitated at the moment.
I have been down graded to a one handed blogger due to a mishap that happened Thursday night that left me with one hand.
While making dinner my cats, mostly Frick got in between my legs on my way to the sink causing me to trip.
I ended up loosing my grip on the 6-quart pot full of boiling water for a split second.
My choices were, let it pour all over my two stupid always hungry CATS or grab a pot that just came off a red hot element with my bare hand from the bottom.
The following pictures pretty much say what my decision was.

Damn cats, I should shave them bald for this one.
I have felt a lot of pain in my years but I tell you, these are second-degree burns according to the clinic and it hurt like hell.
I can’t imagine how people with third degree burns handle the pain and don’t go insane.
As it is now, I am having problems moving it without watching it split and open up again and typing is a chore with one hand.
Not that my typing skill were anything to write home about or should that have been type home about?
Whatever the case, I may be awhile between posts until my hand is better.
I have been reading most of your blogs just not commenting as much as I used to.

On another note I would ask you go stop by Deni’s blog and offer some support today.
Her niece, 27-year-old mother of 3 is going in for brain surgery on Wednesday.
I wish her all the best in her operation and to quickly return healthy to her babies.

Have a nice day

Ouch, that looks awful and burns are so painful. It was heroic of you to save the cats, though!

Hate those burns Walker, have copped a few over the years and they don't get any better. One handed typing isn't too bad till you want a capital letter.

OOOh I am cringing for you Walker. Poor thing. My cat Spooky is notorious for winding around your feet and tripping you. We know to watch out but sometimes forget. Darn cats. I hope your hand gets better quickly. :(

Yuck - I know how bad burns hurt, I hope it heals up quickly for you and you don't scar.

I'm sure you've had plenty of practice with one handed typing so I'm sure you'll still be around. hehehe
