Merry Christmas ©

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a Blogger was stirring, not even his Mouse.
The modem was off, with nothing to say.
With hope the ISP was still there, the next day.

The Blogger was cuddled, snuggly in his bed.
With some posts, swirling in his head
He tossed and turned from left to right
Wanting to get up, in the middle of the night

Fearing he might forget what to write
He opened his eyes and went down in the night
But just before, he opened the light
He saw a figure that made quite the sight

Big and tall, actually fat
He sat in my chair, I picked up my bat
He typed on the keyboard with fingers so light
The sound I remember, from just that night

I heard him laugh, a deep roar in fact
Then stood up to leave, just like that
He went to the hearth and then in a flash
Up he went, in a dash.

I ran to the window looking to see
I pretty much knew, who it could be
Up in the sky, high up above
I saw him wave, with that thick black glove

I walked to the desk and looked on the screen
The message was simple, in plain sight to be seen.
Merry Christmas Ye Bloggers, and to all a good night
I’ll look in tomorrow, to see what you write
